2008 through 2012 Nissan Pathfinder V8 Gains 10.76 HP with K&N Air Intake Kit
- 28 Apr 2009
The 2008 Nissan Pathfinder received its biggest update since 2005. For the first time, a V8 engine is available, along with a revised interior including a larger center stack display screen. K&N also saw the potential for improvement and built one of its Air Intake Systems (77-6016KS) for the 2008 5.6 liter V8 model.

Nissan Pathfinder owners can feel a power gain once this K&N air intake kit is
installed. K&N tests on its in-house dynamometer show an impressive 10.76 horsepower at 5137 RPM
on the 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 Nissan Pathfinder with 5.6 liter V8 engine. The
77-6016KS also increases under the hood appeal with its silver intake tube.

K&N cold air intakes are designed to reduce intake restriction and provide a smooth air path between the air filter and the motor. Less restriction means more power and torque when you need it.
OE emissions devices are reused on the 77-6016KS and K&N's design works with factory computer settings.
The 77-6016KS uses a chrome top universal air filter (RC-4381) with a powder coated aluminum heat shield in place of the vehicle's air box. The K&N air filter captures harmful particles, provides a large surface area and allows air to flow with little restriction. The heat shield isolates the K&N air filter from the engine compartment and allows it to receive a consistent flow of fresh outside air.
The washable and reusable K&N air filter can perform up to 100,000 miles before service is required. Installation can be performed in 90 minutes of less. The 77-6016KS is also backed by K&N’s famous Million Mile Limited Warranty.
