2011 K&N Horsepower Challenge Sweepstakes Eight Trips to the Race - One Ford Explorer

This February 24th the 2011 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing season begins and along with it the 27th annual K&N Horsepower Challenge resumes, the exceedingly unique and high-status race-within-a-race. The season long quest for points is the most hotly contested battle among Pro Stock racers as they compete for one of seven guaranteed spots in the most prestigious race of the season. And as a result of its widespread popularity last year, K&N officials have confirmed that for the second straight year, the eighth and final spot will once again be filled by a popular vote.
The K&N Horsepower Challenge pits the seven NHRA Pro Stock racers who have accumulated the most qualifying points over a series of races, and one driver selected by the fans, in a three-round, high-dollar shootout, with the winner pocketing $50,000, the single largest purse all season. The runner-up will earn $10,000 and two semifinalists will earn $3,000. The four first-round finishers will receive $2,500 each.
The best part is that you needn't be a racer to be a part of this celebration of the "factory hot rods." Entry to the K&N 2011 Horsepower Challenge Sweepstakes began on January 25th and ends on May 27, 2011, which leaves plenty of time to enter. Then, on May 30, 2011, the eight Finalist Prize winners and one Alternate Finalist Prize winner, will be selected in a random drawing conducted under the supervision of The National Sweepstakes Co., an independent judging organization, whose decisions are based on their sole discretion and interpretation of these official rules, which can also be found on the K&N website, and they are final and binding in all respects. Odds of being selected as a Finalist, or Alternate Finalist, and winning a Finalist Prize, are of course dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received.
