- 6 Feb 2008
Off-road racer Curt LeDuc drove his ROCKSTAR Energy Drink/Toyo Tires/Skyjacker

The action filled weekend started in front of the Parker Area Chamber of Commerce in Parker Arizona and ended at the Blue Water Resort and Casino around 425 sandy miles later.

LeDuc competed against record number of entries in the Parker 425
The Best in the Desert sponsored race featured trucks, SUVs and buggies competing under grueling conditions. There were a record number of entries, 310, but only 81 were able to finish the race. LeDuc shared driving duties with sons Todd and Kyle to take first in the 8000 Truck Class.
“The ground was really wet,” said LeDuc. “This had a big effect on the race and the cars were getting beat up. The drive shaft hit a rock at mile ten, but we had a spare and did not have any more trouble during the eight hour three lap race.”
LeDuc passed nearly fifty vehicles during the first lap and handed over driving duty to his youngest son Kyle who continued the LeDuc family tradition. In the last lap older brother Todd took over and made it a family victory.
“K&N is one of our sponsors and we wanted to start off the year on the right foot,” said LeDuc. “We use K&N oil and air filters. One of the biggest advantages of the K&N oil filter is how it handles cold and heat with the deserts changing temperatures. It performed flawlessly under extreme conditions when we staged in the early morning and continued performing under the heat of the race day. We did not have to change the K&N air filter during the race.”
LeDuc’s next race is the Terribles Town 250 at Nevada in April.
