Big Block Dirt Modified Racer Hits Three Speedways Over One Weekend
- 18 May 2007
Del Rougeux Jr. and the Rougeux Motorsports Team completed three races over one
weekend. The Big Block Dirt Modified racer ran his new 2007X Bicknell Chassis
with K&N Engineering Air and Oil Filters.
First up was Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. Rougeux started 5th in the heat race and captured a second place finish. Next race was Sharon Speedway at Hartford, Ohio. Despite starting in 6th position at the heat, Rougeux was able to work his way up to third position when the checkered flag fell.
The third race for Rougeux Motorsports was at Tri-City Speedway in Franklin, Pennsylvania. The Frenchville, Pennsylvania racer started in 5th position during the heat race and was able to capture his second heat race win of the season at Tri-City. In the second heat race of the day Rougeux started the event in the 11th position. The team made several chassis adjustments to try and get the car to run faster but Rougeux finished 4th.
“The K&N Products we use are second to none,” said Rougeux. “We race in very dusty conditions. K&N keeps the dirt out of my carburetor. Our K&N Air and Oil Filters work like they are supposed to every time.”
Rougeux is currently in 5th place in the Tri-City Speedway standings
