- 24 May 2007
Defending Golden State Series (GSC) Sprint Car Champion Jonathan Allard is ready
for a change after a few tough weekends. The Chico, California resident is
headed for three straight night’s of racing near San Francisco.
Last Friday night Allard finished 14th in the K&N Filters No.0. The following night at Tulare he finished third in the heat to earn a front row starting spot. During the 30-lap feature Allard took the lead from Brent Kaeding. He lost the lead during a restart and had engine trouble on lap 10 which ended the night.
This Friday Allard and the Williams Motorsports Team will be at Petaluma Speedway. Allard won both GSC races at the track last season and hopes to continue his strong record there.
We use K&N Engineering Oil and Air Filters along with K&N’s Carbon Fiber Air Box,” said Allard. “K&N makes the best products, the oil and air filters are easy to use and maintain. We never have to worry about K&N products on or off the track.”
On Saturday and Sunday Allard will also be in action at Calistoga Speedway for two consecutive nights of Golden State Challenge Series action. Last season he brought home a fourth place finish at the half-mile dirt oval. Allard said he will be giving it his all over the weekend and hopes to pick up a win at Calistoga to post on his resume.
