K&N’s Bryce Menzies Gets 7th LOORRS Win In 13 Races So Far In 2015 At Reno, Nevada

In LOORRS round 14 Pro 4 Bryce Menzies headed up a hill with 3 laps left in the race and an unfortunate landing sent the Red Bull truck on 2 wheels
K&N sponsored Bryce Menzies and the Menzies Motorsports team had won 5 of the 11 races in the Pro 2 class heading into LOORRS rounds 13 and 14 in Reno, Nevada
The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS) 2015 short course season has been filled with a lot of ups and downs for the K&N sponsored team of Menzies Motorsports. Bryce Menzies and the Menzies Motorsports team had won 5 of the 11 races in the Pro 2 class heading into LOORRS rounds 13 and 14 in Reno, Nevada. Bryce Menzies has had success in the past at this track and was hoping to add another notch to his belt.
K&N air filters supported LOORRS driver Bryce Menzies qualified 3rd overall in the Pro 4 class for round 13 which put him on the 2nd row for the start. Bryce successfully passed every truck in the Pro4 class besides the series points leader Kyle Leduc and finished second. Bryce then headed onto the track again for round 13 of the Pro 2 truck class. Bryce Menzies again qualified 3rd also putting him on the second row for the start. Bryce quickly made his way to the front of the pack and won the Pro 2 race with a significant gap over second place driver Rob MacCachren.
The final race of the weekend for Bryce Menzies was the Pro 2 class where he was fortunate to start on the front row, quickly taking the lead after turn 1 and never looking back
K&N sponsored Bryce Menzies and the Red Bull Pro4 truck flipped; while Bryce Menzies was uninjured following the crash he did not continue the LOORS round 14 Pro 4 race
LOORRS round 14 the next day began very much the same as round 13 with Bryce Menzies qualifying the Pro 4 truck in 2nd and 1st in the Pro 2 class. The invert started the #7 Red Bull Pro 4 truck in the third row for round 14. Bryce Menzies made his way through the field, all the way up to third place before getting stuck behind Greg Adler who spun out. This forced Bryce back to 8th place. Determined, he made his way through traffic once again all the way up to 3rd place right behind the leader. Bryce headed up a hill with 3 laps left and an unfortunate landing sent the truck on 2 wheels before it eventually flipped. Bryce Menzies was uninjured following the crash but did not continue the Pro 4 race.

The final race of the weekend for Bryce was the Pro 2 class where he was fortunate to start on the front row. Bryce quickly took the lead after turn 1 and never looked back. This win marks Bryce’s 7th LOORRS win out of 13 races so far in the 2015 season. Menzies Motorsports is 24 points behind Rob MacCachran for the points lead with 4 races left in the season. K&N filters sponsored Menzies Motorsports plans to work hard to give Bryce a bulletproof truck to go out and hopefully win every race remaining. Menzies Motorsports will have an advantage for the next LOORRS short course race in Bryce’s hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada on September 18-19, 2015.
