K&N to Team Up With Fallen Patriots to Sponsor the 20th Annual Route 66 Nationals
K&N to Team Up With Fallen Patriots to Sponsor the 20th Annual Route 66 Nationals
19 Jun 2017
K&N will be sponsoring the 20th Annual NHRA Route 66 Nationals with Fallen Patriots
NHRA recently announced that K&N will be a sponsor of the 20th Annual NHRA Route 66 Nationals, in Joliet, Illinois. This will be the second consecutive year that K&N has signed on to be a sponsor of the event. This year, however, K&N is bringing their primary charity partner aboard, the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, who will be the title sponsor and K&N will be the presenting sponsor.
NHRA and K&N have enjoyed a rewarding relationship for years and this is an extension of that partnership. From sponsoring various drivers in just about every NHRA class to being the spec’d intake for the Pro Stock class, K&N has been involved in NHRA in one capacity or another for decades. Thanks to such a long history of working together, this newest partnership makes sense for both participants. The fact that K&N is including their charity partner in this deal shows how much they care about their relationships.
Earlier this year, K&N donated $100,000 to Fallen Patriots and made them their primary charity partner
“Our partnership with NHRA has been rewarding for both sides,” explained K&N’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Jesse Spungin. “Not only is K&N the official filter and air intake of NHRA, but now we are a sponsor of one of the biggest races of the year.”
Earlier this year, K&N announced they would be working with the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation as their primary charity partner. Fallen Patriots’ mission is to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to the children of military members who died in the line of duty. K&N bringing them in as the title sponsor of this race will help to spread awareness and the need for funding for Fallen Patriots.

“Fallen Patriots is proud to partner with K&N, NHRA, and Route 66 Raceway for the historic 20th Annual Route 66 Nationals,” said David Kim, Co-Founder and CEO of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation. “The entire foundation is excited to share our mission of providing scholarships and educational counseling to children of fallen patriots with NHRA fans. With nearly 20,000 children across the nation who are still in need of future assistance, we greatly appreciate this opportunity to further our mission of supporting the families who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.”
This year’s 20th Annual Children of Fallen Patriots NHRA Route 66 Nationals Presented by K&N will be held at the state-of-the-art Route 66 Raceway, just south of Joliet, Illinois. Located adjacent to its sister track, Chicagoland Speedway, Route 66 Raceway is regarded as one of the world’s premier drag racing facilities.

“Route 66 Raceway has long been one of the premiere facilities that NHRA races at during the course of the year and we anxiously await the Children of Fallen Patriots NHRA Route 66 Nationals presented by K&N,” said Brad Gerber, NHRA Vice President and Chief Development Officer. “K&N and NHRA have been partners for many years, and it is great to see them team up with the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation for this race to help spread awareness for their important cause.”
