NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Resumes for K&N Filters Ford at Talladega Superspeedway
- 3 Oct 2007
Travis Kvapil will make his first career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start at
Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama this Saturday in the No. 6 K&N Filters Ford
F-150.
Kvapil comes to Talladega for the Mountain Dew 250 on the heels of winning from the pole at Las Vegas Motor Speedway two weeks ago. He scored his fourth victory of 2007 at Vegas.
The K&N Filters Team will be bringing chassis RK412-52 to Talladega. This chassis last raced at Daytona in February, where Kvapil started fourth and finished third.
“I’m looking forward to Talladega,” said Kvapil. “This is going to be a great race for us. We had the dominant truck at Daytona in February and came up just shy of pulling off the win. I think we have the truck that can finish the job here this week. Handling is not as big an issue at Talladega as it is at Daytona. It’s much wider and forgiving at Talladega. Hopefully we’ll be able to run at the front and pull off the win in the K&N Ford F-150.”
“We had a great run earlier in the year at Daytona,” said K&N Filters Crew Chief Mike Beam. “We’ve been anxious to get to Talladega.”
The event will be televised on SPEED –TV on October 6. Check your local listings for time.
