Northeastern Midget Association Season Opener Belongs to Bertrand Motorsports

Racing is a sport that requires teams and sponsorships. Driver Randy Cabral teamed up with Bertrand Motorsports in 2006 and never looked back. In 2009, he won the Northeastern Midget Association (NEMA) opener at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, New Hampshire.

It’s the start of high expectations for the coming season and Bertrand Motorsports has teamed up with K&N. At Monadnock , Cabral started his K&N Engineering/Bertrand Motorsports No.47 in 9th place on the grad. He took the lead on a lap fifteen restart and proceeded to run and hide from the field. Cabral has historically struggled at the “world’s fastest bulling,” but those days are over. Cabral used his new K&N Sprint Car air box, part number 100-8570 and his K&N oil filter. part number HP-3002.

“Tim Bertrand and my father spent the whole winter thinking about how to make our short track program better, especially at Monadnock,” said Cabral. “With our new shock package, rear suspension and our K&N products everything came together. Without supporters like K&N, Drinan Racing Products, NAPA of Tolland, Esslinger, ARS and others we would not be here.”
Veteran Jeff Horn piloted the K&N Engineering/Bertrand Motorsports No. 39 to a 7th place finish at Monadnock.
Bertrand Motorsports runs next at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, New Hampshire. NASCAR star Ryan Newman will be at the helm of the No. 39 Drinan midget and Cabral will drive the No.47 on June 26.
