K&N 38-2034R uses a hybrid synthetic filter media that is exceptional when it comes to airflow and it holds more dirt than a typical disposable air filter. Part 38-2034R was designed with multiple layers of filter media that captures smaller particles with each layer as you move towards the clean (outside) side of the air filter. Heavy duty air filter 38-2034R is a reverse flow filter which flows air from inside the filter to the outside. K&N 38-2034R heavy duty filter installs the same as the factory air filter, making it a simple and worry free transition. Cleaning your K&N 38-2034R is very simple. Spray on K&N synthetic air filter cleaner and rinse off from the clean side to the dirty side of the air filter. No oiling is required. The filter may be power washed with water (on its lowest pressure setting) and dried with pressurized air (on a low pressure setting), so cleaning and re-installing this heavy duty air filter can be done in less time than it takes to have your Peterbilt Truck washed.
