- 14 Jul 2008
Pro Stocker Greg Anderson drove his Summit Racing Pontiac GXP with K&N Engineering products to his third consecutive win at the 29th annual NHRA Mile-High Nationals at Bandimere Speedway in Colorado.
Anderson defeated Allen Johnson in the final round of the NHRA POWERade Pro Stock Series race. His elapsed time of 7.024 seconds and a track record speed of 196.39 mph defeated Johnson’s Dodge at a 7.028 e.t. and 195.79 mph.

“How can anyone win without K&N,” said Anderson. “We all use K&N products out here and are proud to do it. The K&N intake scoop and air filter combination is important to the Pro Stock Category. It’s a big advantage to get the maximum amount of air to the engine in this class.”
Anderson also earned points at the Mile-High Nationals toward qualification for the 2009 K&N Horsepower Challenge, a special race-within-a-race bonus program for the top Pro Stock drivers in the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing series. A few weeks earlier in Norwalk, Ohio, Allen Johnson put a perfect light on the board and beat Greg Anderson on the hole-shot to win $50,000 in the 2008 K&N Horsepower Challenge.
The next race for the Pro Stockers will be at the NHRA nationals in Seattle, Washington.
