K&N dynamometer tests show a 15.42 horsepower gain at 2911 RPM with the 57-3000. This air intake system has a lid that goes on top of the heat shield and includes a full air box.

The K&N air intake system filters harmful dirt and debris from entering the engines of these diesel work trucks. The heat shield isolates the K&N air filter (RC-5139) from the engine heat. This in turn keeps a cooler air charge going into the engine for an instant power gain. No other modifications are necessary.

The 57-1550 features a specially molded intake tube and a large K&N air filter. The air filter, RP-4660, fits into the stock location. Cooler outside air is directed toward the K&N air filter from the factory fresh air duct.

K&N dynamometer testing shows a 9.8 horsepower gain @ 4200 RPM. K&N designers removed the OE air box and intake and built a larger intake system to open up the breathing capacity for the 4.6 liter engine to get more air and power.
