Harley Davidson Sportster® Motorcycles Add Performance with K&N Custom Intake Assembly

The newer Harley Davidson Sportster line is designed to slash vibration felt by the rider to a fraction of its former level. The new frame is 25 percent stiffer than the Harley design prior to 2004.

K&N Engineering has developed a high flow complete air cleaner assembly (RK-3929) for 2004 to 2014 model Harley Davidson Sportster 883 and 1200 cc motorcycles. The oversized custom intake assembly is developed around an original K&N high flow air filter. See complete applications list below.

The kit was designed to optimize air flow and significantly increase performance for the Harley Davidson Sportster owner. The K&N assembly includes a powder coated billet aluminum backing plate and internal run breathers for a clean installation.

This intake has a built-in dyno- tuned velocity stack which smoothes out the delivery of air flow. The RK-3929 also keeps the factory appearance by using the stock air cleaner cover. It fits behind the OE air cleaner cover and provides increased surface area which aids in the delivery of more air.

No jetting or fuel modifications are necessary for optimum performance. K&N high flow filters are washable and reusable.

2006 to 2015 Toyota Yaris Owners Gain 4.56 HP with K&N Air Intake System

In the economy car wars, the Toyota Yaris is holding its own despite strong competition. Its electric power steering setup takes away the engine-driven hydraulic pump of traditional power steering systems, giving it a natural even feel when driving.

K&N Engineering has released a high flow air intake system (69-8612TFK) with a flat black aluminum tube for the 2006 to 2015 Toyota Yaris 1.5 liter engine. The flat black K&N cold air intake tube gives our system an OE look.

Along with good looks comes additional performance for the engine. K&N dynamometer tests show a 4.56 horsepower gain for the 2007 Yaris @ 5088 RPM.

By using a CNC mass air sensor pad K&N is able to keep the Yaris running within its factory settings. There is no need to reprogram the factory settings after installation.

The conical K&N air filter (RU-4950) is designed to provide increased surface area and dust capacity. Its placement takes advantage of the factory fresh air duct to feed the K&N air filter outside air.

The 69-8612TFK has lower restriction than the factory air box resulting in an immediate power gain. It also is designed to improve engine performance and is easy to install, usually in 90 minutes or less. K&N high flow air intake systems come with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.

2006 and 2007 Polaris Outlaw 500 ATV Owners Add Performance with K&N Air Filter

Polaris set out to revolutionize the high performance sports quad category, and did so with the Polaris Outlaw 500 ATV. The Outlaw 500 is the first high performance sports quad to feature fully independent rear suspension to handle the roughest terrain while providing the most comfortable ride possible for the rider. The Outlaw 500 is powered by a 499cc, 50 horsepower, single cylinder engine with a 5-speed manual transmission.

K&N dynamometer testing shows an estimated gain of 7 horsepower for 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 Honda Civic Si with the 2.0 liter engine @ 6700 RPM. The air intake tube has a CNC precision machined billet mass air adaptor and a radiused filter adaptor which smoothes the air flow entering the tube.

The heat shield isolates the K&N air filter (RU-5147) from the engine compartment. The engine bay layout of this vehicle places the air box in the back, up against the firewall. Here, it would be subject to lots of heat and little, if any, outside air. To counter this, Honda uses a flex hose that leads from the front of the vehicle to the factory air box to allow for a steady supply of outside air. The K&N cold air intake system takes advantage of this system by reusing the fresh air hose and connecting it to the base of our heat shield thereby supplying the K&N conical filter with cooler outside air the same way the factory system fed the stock air box when it was in place.

2006 to 2015 Ford S-MAX and Galaxy Owners Benefit from K&N¹s Replacement Air Filter

New for 2008, Ford has released a sporty, yet versatile people mover, the S-MAX. Ford also redesigned the already popular Galaxy I. The new Ford Galaxy II and S-MAX are both roomy 7-seaters with sporty intentions. Both models are available outside the United States with a 2.5 liter turbocharged motor, making 220 horsepower for those that want maximum performance without sacrificing functionality. Both vehicles are available with a 2.0 or 1.8 liter diesel power plant as well.

Air Filter for Ford S-Max, Mondeo IV and Galaxy

K&N has developed a replacement air filter for Ford Galaxy and S-MAX models from 2006 to 2015. This premium air filter, 33-2393, is designed to increase horsepower and acceleration while providing excellent filtration.
